Slightly nakakahiya: my Lakbayan grade

My Lakbayan grade is C-!

How much of the Philippines have you visited? Find out at Lakbayan!

Created by Eugene Villar.

I need to get around my own backyard more. I'm sure I have foreigner friends who've been to more places in the Philippines than I have (Hi Arno et Pia!).

Kakahiya.

Logan

...is my newest baby. He's a siamese kitten who likes to sleep on my tummy. Nats gave him to me around two months ago--bayad sa kanya ng pasyente nya instead of money. Unfortunately though not everyone's pleased. Bituin is sometimes annoyed. He thinks he's been edged out for my affections. Not unlike how Garfield feels with Nermal. I don't see any packages addressed to Abu Dhabi pa naman so I guess they're skill OK with each other. Can you guess from these pictures why we named him Logan?

My Multiply

...is as bading as can be. Finally I uploaded some photos na. Couldn't bring myself to post in it, though. Firstly, tinatamad ako. Secondly, I have issues with "loyalty". Which probably explains why I voted BOTH for Cheez Escudero and Mike Defensor--not because I am loyal to either of them, but because they showed exemplary loyalty to each of their "sides". My "new" site is: http://aileenalava.multiply.com, not that I highly encourage you to visit it. You won't find anything there naman that isn't on this blog na. So I like to be redundant. So sue me. Why do I talk about it here? Kasi ang bading ng theme. Gusto ko lang i-"share" yung kabidangan nya. Yun lang. I really wish my blogspot site was this bading. But the only bading choice sa blogspot skins is the pink one na parang Mattel ang gumawa. Ang gusto ko bading, hindi pang-elementary.

STEAMING Hot BOHOL

Bohol is hot. The sights--both the natural and the man-made--are awesome. The streets are clean and paved. The people are friendly and smart. The pace is slow and relaxed, almost unassuming. All in all, our weekend break in Bohol was wonderful.

Unlike Boracay, which you can already get the best out of even while merely lying down on the white beach, Bohol needs to be explored. Luckily enough, Bohol locals are more than willing to tell you where to go and to take you around themselves. Don't make the mistake of going to Bohol and not going to:

(1) the famous chocolate hills (unquestionably marvelous)
(2) the Baclayon church (i can spend hours inside that church gawking and take pictures)
(3) the Loboc river cruise (which is enjoyable not so much as for its view than for the sheer novelty of the experience)
(4) the man-made forest, and
(5) the semi-cute semi-scary (yep I got scared of the little furballs) tarsiers.

Hope you guys enjoy the pictures that follow. I've got lots as we went to a lot of picture-worthy places, namely (1) to (5) above. They're all on your run-of-the-mill tour trips for PhP2000 for the car hire (which can seat three people). While you may have reservations about doing the automatic and stale tourist-y thing, your distaste for the usual is surely nothing a fresh perspective and eager mind can drive away.

I think this ends my summer sojourns. Pasukan na eh. At saka umuulan na. When the next will be, I have no idea. Hope it comes sooner than later. I've got my eye on Corregidor, Laoag, and, if time and funds permit, Palawan. Goody. Posted by Picasa
imbyerna moment with annoying jumping girls. in fairness, wala namang sign na "don't jump". still. hello? kailangan pa ba ng sign para malaman nyo na nakakamatay ang pagtalon sa may bangin??!!

the usual picture of the chocolate hills is taken on a bright, sunny day. we were treated to the dark alternative. it was dusky above our heads and you can smell the threat of rain in the air. not quite what i expected, but satisfying nonetheless.
