Advanced 30th Set of "525600 Minutes" To Me

I think I watched "RENT: The Movie" a little too early. It's not new to me or anything as I've seen the musical before. Thing is, hearing "525600 Minutes" at a time of the year so close to my 30th, I am hearing this song with new ears. Essentially it asks the question: how will you remember the past years in your life? How should I remember my 30th then? The answer in the song is not so simple as it is so direct:

525,600 minutes, 525,000 moments so dear
525,600 minutes - how do you measure, measure a year?
In daylights? In sunsets? In midnights? In cups of coffee?
In inches? In miles? In laughter? In strife?
In 525,600 minutes? How do you measure a year in the life?
How about love? How about love? How about love?
Measure in love... Seasons of love.
525,600 minutes, 525,000 journeys to plan.
525,600 minutes - how can you measure the life of a woman or man?
In truths that she learned? Or in times that he cried?
In bridges he burned? Or the way that she died?
It's time now to sing out, though the story never ends,
Let's celebrate! Remember a year in the life of friends.
Remember the love! Remember the love! Remember the love!
Measure in love... Seasons of love.

It's a bit sentimental I know, and "remembering the love" is sometimes easier said and done. But I think this is the very thing that makes up the fabric of our lives. Sadly, we heed and reflect on this essential element a lot less often than we should. photo from reviewaday.blogspot.com.
