I am ashamed I know nothing about Bataan besides the Death March and Corregidor. True these are historical hallmarks but I couldn't help being embarassed the way Bataan's beautiful beaches took me by surprise. And I'm supposed to be the sun-worshipper and proud island hopper. Thank heavens I got the chance to redeem myself . The bounties and generosity of UP-CBA took us humble faculty to Bataan last Monday and Tuesday for a (dare I say) well-deserved break for some R & R and non-stop chika and chismis.

Surprised by Bataan
